Kendra Timko-Hochkeppel, MCDHH State-Screened Deaf Interpreter. She received her B.S. in Education from Northeastern University and an M.A. in Social Work from Salem State College. She works part-time as a Deaf Interpreter Staff at Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) in Worcester, MA. She owns her private practice as a Deaf Interpreter in various settings: DeafBlind, Medical, Commonwealth’s Press Conferences, Mental Health, and some legal work. Her previous variety of training includes CALI (Center for Atypical Language), DBII (Deaf-Blind Interpreting Institutes) and Project CLIMB (Cultivating Legal Interpreters from Minority Backgrounds), RDI (Road to Deaf Interpreter), Deaf Foundations of Interpreting Seminar Series/ IMI (Integrated Model of Interpreting) training and attended the Deaf Interpreter Conferences. In her free time, she enjoys spending time camping with the family, reading a good book, and playing disc golf when she has the chance.
